ARTrelief and Global Water Dance 2017

On June 24th 2017, dancers and community members from the six continents danced to raise awareness for global water issues.

Thanks to Audrey Albert King who lead this event and Fresh Pond Reservation in Cambridge, MA who provided a beautiful site by the water, ARTrelief was fortunate to participate in an incredible global movement. ARTrelief was represented by Carolyn Melbye (dancer), Cécile Rêve (dancer and music improv) and Gabriela Kotliar (photography and film). Global Water Dances - Cambridge was dancing to "Get the Lead Out" of our schools.

This year, we amazed the world when we hit a record with more than one hundred performances around the globe on one single day: 108 locations! Our choreographers made their best effort by doing live streaming, and sent their beautiful photos and videos dancing at lakes, rivers, the ocean, public spaces near water, among other environments.
